i prefer to shit with the door closed because my toilet is my sanctum. it is by far the only place in my life where i get a smidgen of privacy.

And by the way, what’s wrong with shitting with the door open? I love to shit with the door open. I get to see/hear the TV and it grosses my wife out. And since we’re long passed the days where I’m getting sex regardless of whether or not I display good behavior, I do things like shit with the door open because it’s funny. And because SportsCenter is on.
